Looking Back

I started my blog over 2 years ago, and have seen myself and my brand grow. Part of that growth was creating a new website, and through that process I lost a lot of my old work and writing, which is very upsetting. So for those who have been following my journey since then, I want to go ahead and recap some of my favorite fashion looks over the next few weeks.

Looking back is a great way to see how far you've come, and also to get re-inspired from yourself and your creativity.

Life has been throwing a lot at me lately. A lot of great blessings, that I'm so grateful for, but also things that are unexpected. It can be hard to stay strong and continue to be productive when all you want to do is crawl into a hole for a month and burrow in your feelings. But, in times when I'm feeling this way I like to immerse myself in work, and simply stay distracted. Sometimes it is the only way I can keep my sanity. And interestingly enough, great creative pieces can come from places of hurt or pain. It's hard to be vulnerable, especially to the online world, but I feel it is therapeutic and hopefully someone else who stumbles upon this who may be going through a tough time too, knows that they're not in it alone.

"Growth is painful. Change is painful. But, nothing is as painful as staying stuck where you do not belong."
