How To Wear A Camel Coat

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you had a productive weekend and an even more productive day today. My weekend consisted of being snowed in, catching up on sleep, running to a photoshoot in 15 degree weather in a leather mini skirt, and hanging with my favorite people. I threw on this outfit for a meeting today in the city, attempting to brave the cold weather. I wore a camel coat, a strapless white bodysuit, high-waisted thick cotton pants and olive green boots. I'm a firm believer that camel coats pull any outfit together; they make you look like you're put-together without even trying. When I'm running errands in sneakers and tapered sweats, I throw on this coat and it instantly heightens my look. I can also where it when I'm dressed up in a midi dress and peep-toe booties and still give off the same elegance. How I wear my camel coat varies all the time, but it's definitely a staple and statement piece in my closet. I highly suggest you invest in one. I find my style has been evolving and I'm loving it. As I've grown older I realized that I love minimalism and sleekness. I prefer to have my closet full of solid, monochromatic basics, that are good quality. You'll never see me in something full of multiple patterns or neon colors. I do like pairing my basics with statements pieces as well, to add an edge to my look. I've been embracing brighter, rich statement colors recently, like tomato reds, but I typically pair it with black. As you get older embracing your style gets more and more fun and easier, you learn to not really give a duck and just wear what makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Experimentation is key to finding that unique style of your own.
